Had a great dinner at Rosie cannonball. It felt like a refreshing experience, given that Houston feels like it lacks great Italian/european restaurants at times. Our server was lovely and served us complimentary Lambrusco when we were seated. Ordered the blistered bean salad and a pepperoni pizza to start. The pizza was very good, with great dough, and I can't say enough good things about the bean salad!! One of my favorite salad dishes in a while. We also got the sweet corn agnolotti and blue crab carbonara pastas; both were excellent. The basque cheesecake was solid too, overall would definitely come back!!

I wanted to come here because Cacio e Pepe is one of my favorite Italian dishes and I was excited to see how they'd interpret this as pizza. It did not disappoint. However, I was quite surprised how good the pepperoni pizza was. Simple but tons of pepperonis. Their crust is also phenomenal. I'm usually a "don't eat the crust" person but theirs is perfect. Then we had the basque cheesecake, and wow. So light, but also rich. Fluffy and delicious. Overall, I really enjoyed this place. The vibes and ambiance are great. It's for date night!

I came here with some friends with the full intention of just ordering dessert, but their pizza sounded really good so I gave it a shot. I got the kale pizza, since it came with bleu cheese. Everyone made fun of me for getting a kale pizza but I actually liked it! The combination of honey with bleu cheese on pizza is almost always a hit with me. For dessert, I ordered the torta tenerina, which was a little chocolate torte. It was delicious! I also tried the strawberries & cream, honey cake, and basque cheesecake (tarta de queso) as well. I'd say the cheesecake, honey cake, and torta tenerina were my favorites. The cheesecake is certainly unique! Service was really great and very generous with our party of 7 squeezed into a table for 5. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation. Also it's a bit chilly in there, so a jacket would be recommended as well.

Really cute and modern restaurant on Montrose with a welcoming interior. I sat at the bar and was greeted with lambrusco and popcorn which was a really nice touch. They had quite a good wine selection and an interesting menu. I ordered the tuna tartare toast, the blistered bean salad, a pizza and got the honey cake for dessert. Standouts were most definitely the blistered bean salad, great flavour and texture from the caramelised nuts and peppers, and the honey cake was really delicate and delicious! Overall, I would definitely return to Rosie Cannonball because of the deals they do (happy hour and sundays) and it is a really great place to get a drink and some bites.
